his is about a little boy named Andrew Hudson who was diagnosed with brain and spinal cancer at the age of 2yrs-1mth old. Andrew was a normal healthy 2 year until in late March of 2006 he began vomiting and complaining of head pain. After a cat scan it was discovered he had a large mass in his brain. Our Pediatrician told us to drive directly to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia where a neurosurgeon would be waiting to see us. That is when our life as we knew it changed completely. The next day Andrew had brain surgery to remove the tumor. After a week in the PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), we learned that Andrew had a type of Brain tumor called PNET and that it had spread to his spinal column.
